Services we offer

At Everton Vet we take the health of your pets very seriously. We recommend bringing your pets for a regular health check at least once a year.
Vaccinate your pets against common diseases to ensure they live a long and healthy life. Puppies & kittens need to be vaccinated between 6-8 weeks of age. After this they need monthly vaccinations for 2-3 months and an annual vaccination for the rest of his/her life is recommended.
Dr Evans was one of the first Veterinary Surgeons in SA to pass the exams for the Certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedics from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1986. He has developed a keen interest in orthopedic surgery.
Male and female puppies and kittens should be sterilised between ages 5-6 months. It is highly recommended to sterilise your pets unless you are equipped for this and well aware of the implications of breeding with your puppy or kitten .
To prevent worm infestation we recommend deworming your pets once every 3 months. Hookworm is very common in coastal areas which causes loss of appetite, diarrhoea, anaemia and can ultimately lead to death. Fleas thrive in Durban's climate and transmit tapeworm in cats and dogs - if your pet has fleas, it also has worms.
